Is it normal?

The past few months have been hectic. For me after Miss L recovered from her regression I thought I would feel better....hasn't happened yet. I still don't know what's going on with my B12 levels and no one has found a Dr to investigate. In the meantime as things go on I keep thinking this cant be normal. I feel like I've gone past the tired Mum stage. I need either coffee or a nanna nap to get through the day. I get sick as often as the kids and I always feel tired from the minute I wake up.
The Drs have already said its classic symptoms of low B12 but we have only seen this due to testing for Miss L. Her metabolic specialist said she would get back to me about who to speak to and 3 months later, no answer.

I've done heaps of reading up on it for L and I and it can have serious long term effects. It would be nice either way to rule it out or start dealing with it.

Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency

A deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to vitamin B12 deficiency anemia. A mild deficiency may cause only mild, if any, symptoms. But if untreated, it may cause symptoms such as:
  • Weakness, tiredness, or light-headedness
  • Rapid heartbeat and breathing
  • Pale skin
  • Sore tongue
  • Easy bruising or bleeding, including bleeding gums
  • Stomach upset and weight loss
  • Diarrhea or constipation
The human body needs vitamin B12 to make red blood cells, nerves, DNA, and carry out other functions.

So now I'm off to speak to the Dr again about what tests can be done and hope we find some answers soon.....
