Lots of noise, dancing and lights flashing. Miss A was really happy to go and got the idea of sitting and watching. A few things freaked her out though and we had to stop and explain. There was the wicked witch trying to give an apple to Snow White. Then she got leg cramps and was crying from the pain. Then a few magic tricks upset her as it looked like the were cutting people up. I forget sometimes how literal she is and how everything is reality to her. I quietly explained what was happening and that it was tricks. It wasn't real and no one got hurt.
Towards the end 2 ladies were put into boxes and chopped in half and then their legs were swapped over. They stood up and were wearing different pants and that tipped her over. She was so worried that they had the wrong legs and that they were hurt. The show ended happily though and she calmed down a little bit.
We had tickets at the end for a meet and greet and Miss A was worried about seeing the witch and didn't want to move. After lots of reassurances and both Andrew and J saying they would protect her we went in. We went into a private room and it had been 2 hours by then and she was ready to run and play. Mickey and Goofy turned up for the meet and A was upset the princesses didn't show. The staff member was great and explained they were busy going home to their castles and taking makeup off. I knew we were reaching her limit by then and sure enough Miss A went into meltdown mode and didn't want to move. Too much for too long.
On the way home she fell asleep in the car. Day done :)
It is so worth trying these experiences with her and I am so grateful that we were given tickets. Nothing worse than saving up money to go then having to walk out....been there, done that.
