Over the last few months all 3 kids have blossomed. Miss L is taking steady steps forward which makes me so happy. Her paed and neuro are saying it's steady but not quite at "catch up" level. Meaning she is improving along her path but not speeding.
Steady progress is still a good sign for me. Her walking and steadiness on her feet hasn't improved but now we know that may be due to the Ehlers-Danlos. Her speech is slowly improving. Miss L uses words and babble more to get attention. She will shouts to get my attention. No words in particular just a ahhh sound so I look at her. Bye is her clearest word and she can say or sound Dad, more, mumee (more/look at me), seeyoulater (as one word), ow. Her sounds are becoming clearer and she is learning to point at what she wants.
Just the last month she can ride her little scooter bike by pushing off with both feet. She can walk up and down stairs holding my hand although we still fall if not looking. She will try and skip steps too!

Miss A hasn't had the greatest support at school so it's been a matter of us providing the extra support. We have beem giving her the skills to cope and making sure she has release time at home. Academically she is very bright and always loves learning. She can nearly write her whole name and very clearly too. For a girl with overly strong hands and an action tremor that makes her shake it's a big achievement. Just last week she completed the monkey bars at school with about 6 rungs. I just worry about her popping a shoulder joint out but she is going well so far. Miss A counts past 20 and knows her colours and shapes. At age 5 she is one of the oldest in her class and is coping well with the work. She love jolly phonics and trying to write. Although that has become a problem as I have found her writing on walls, her drawers, in J's room, in my cookbook. .....
Mr J turns 7 this week and is still my little boy. He isn't in a rush to grow up and in many ways is still immature. He hates doing jobs and loves telling me it's all too hard lol?
He is learning to tie his shoelaces but hates being shown. I wanted to teach him ages ago but he had no interest. Earlier this year he was in the basic reading group and I was showing him chapter books when all of a sudden his interest was spiked. Now he is in accelerated reading and sits down to read Zac Powers with no help from me. He reads from brochures and street signs and proudly asks me to give him a word to spell. His football skills increased so much the coach was reminding him to share the ball around. He was marking and tackling and in 1 game kicked 6 goals. I am also noticing he is more caring of Miss L and is happy to play with both girls. I'm glad he isn't like a lot of his mates who think girls are stupid and they make fun of them.

So the last few months have seen steady improvement in between all the stresses and upsets.
Looking forward....it looks good.
