2 days in...

Well 2 days in and it feels like forever. Day one: Even though we are two hours ahead Andrew and I both woke at 7:30 local time. Even the kids weren't up. Last night we bought breakfast supplies as we have a full kitchen here. We got everyone ready and headed out. We were hopping on the tram for Harbour Town and got on the wrong side. So we did a 40 min trip around the city and saw the sights instead. When we finished we realised that Harbour Town was 2 min from our apartment. Okay then.
We had a look around but it wasn't much better than Perth but they had more shops than us. We had lunch and then the fun begun. It was a little stressful with all of us together A was wiggling and hiding under the table, refusing to eat lunch and L was the only one being still. I think it was an eye opener for Andrew as well as it's only on school holidays that we are all together. Even for me it was a new situation. We didn't have a break at all. No playing in the toy room and no school break etc.
Having no garden to play in either was hard as A kept asking to "go play." Today was a bit better in sticking to the rules but it meant Andrew and I were constantly on top of them. Lots of reminding about rules, talking about time out and counting to 3. It can be exhaustive being on the go all the time.
J seems to settle easier and enjoys down time in the hotel but just like at home A gets bored easily and will misbehave when unhappy. Let's see what the next few days bring...
