Not the way we wanted to start the day...
Miss A was all good until we get to kindy. We line up and she starts trying to fight her banana out of my hands. Now we have other parents around us and no where really to go. She starts kicking me so I grab her by the arms and put her in the corner near the door. Just before we get there she head butts me. Straight into my cheek and jaw.
Now this is definitely the most physical and forceful she has been. We have had a week leading up to this.
After controlling her and calming her down her kindy teacher took over. She made Miss A apologise and we both saw how upset she was. She didn't want to hurt me I was just around when she needed to lash out.
After that I had to take Mr J to school and my face was on fire. I was so upset and trying to hold it together in front of the other kids.
When we got home Miss L went to bed and so did I. I was upset and annoyed. I rang our social worker and asked for help. Something I am still getting used to doing.
I said her paed was worried she is anxious due to everything that has happened this year and this has lead to our sleep issues.
So we are moving in a new direction. Monday the social worker is going to see what happens when I pick up Miss A from kindy and she will let me know what other services are available.
Iin the meantime we are trying to stay positive but it is draining. Emotionally it has been hard work.
A meltdown in the middle of the night....
Oh Vanessa, what a horrid time for you. I hope you have a better Friday.
