Random ramblings

The last 2 weeks have been quiet therapy wise and this has allowed me to slow down a little. It means I have had the time to really pay attention to the kids and see where we are.

J is loving reading as he brings home a reader book each week.
He is gaining confidence in his abilities and loves to talk about being as fast as or as good as. A healthy competition between him and his classmates.
He is growing! Shirts I bought for him a few months ago are now a few Cm's too short in the arms and the body. He is getting so tall now.
He is really connecting with L as he sees her crawling around the room. He wants to pick her up and carry her around!
                                                                    Sports Day.....

A is having less meltdowns and is more settled.
She gets up less during the night and doesn't try and get into J's bed anymore.
She is starting to moderate her behaviour and I am seeing how getting more sleep means she is able to control herself more.
She is still loving her dress ups but also loves to play Mum. She picks up babies and tells them off while repeating exactly what I say to her.
She can have very loving moments and will randomly kiss you even if a few minutes ago she was hitting you.

L is still very slow with her growth and at nearly 16months still wears 000 but is slowly getting into size 00 clothes.
She is getting very quick at crawling but hasn't figured out she can go room to room.
She is still only eating one meal a day but now loves to nibble whenever I am eating.
She gets so excited if I have coffee and will try and climb all over me to get to my cup. Whether she thinks it is milk or not I haven't figured out yet.

As we move to the end of the term I have to get ourselves ready for our trip to Melbourne and organise all the little things that go with travelling with kids.....wish us luck.

Even though she did whinge and cry a bit she let me finish doing her hair.

She talked about the face painting for days. J was the smart one and said he had to have a shower so it didn't rub off on his pillow!
